Curricular Competency: Use scientific understandings to identify relationships and draw conclusions. _ Project Criteria: You will create an informational pamphlet on Climate Change. You will receive one 8 1/2x14 sheet. Task: Many people still believe that our Climate is not being effected by our use of fossil fuels and rapid expansion of our civilization. Your job is to create a pamphlet that outlines: 1) how we are effecting the climate 2)how the climate has changed over time 3)the evidence of climate change 4)how we can start to make a difference and impact the climate less. This pamphlet needs to contain information to help the general population understand the serious nature of Climate Change and why steps need to be taken to slow it down. You may use the information you have already gathered about Climate Change as well as, do more research. Think about the unit we did on geological timescale and how the earth has changed over time. Thorough explanation of the 4 questions listed above 2. 1-2 appropriate images to accompany each question (50% or more, of images should be hand drawn) 3. Eye catching title page to pamphlet, interesting title, interesting images (How will you get people to pick up and read your pamphlet? 4. Each page of pamphlet is done in good copy form (either typed or neatly printed and fine lined, neat colouring, good effort) 5. Works cited page included on a separate sheet, please do not just write down the website name, review the works cited page guidelines. This project is meant to be in place of having a quiz on climate change and therefore has a quick turnaround. You will have 2 in class periods to work on it and a weekend. Any work blocks can also be used to complete this assignment. The due date is Thursday May 12th, keeping in mind we are starting Chemistry on May 10th in class.
